MAGNET

Solana cut rent.
Take yours back.

Every token account you opened holds a deposit sized for the old price. MAGNET finds the difference and pulls it back to your wallet.

The rent dropped.
Your deposits didn't.

Opening a token account locks SOL in it as rent. SIMD-0437 lowers the rate 90% in five steps. An account keeps the deposit it was opened with until its owner takes back the difference. Nobody else can.

The live rate is read from mainnet. Steps 3 to 5 ship with Agave 4.4, expected in November 2026.

Deposit held by one token account, in SOL

Three instructions. Nothing else.

Every transaction is decoded and checked in your browser before your wallet sees it, then simulated on mainnet, so the number you approve is the number you get.

WithdrawExcessLamports
The deposit above today's minimum goes to you. The account and its tokens stay put.
CloseAccount
Empty accounts only. The whole deposit goes to you.
BurnChecked
Only the dead tokens you tick, right before their account closes.

No approvals, no delegates, no token transfers, no message signing. A service fee, if any, is one plain SOL transfer shown before you sign.

Questions

Why is there SOL in my token accounts?

Solana charges rent for storage as a refundable deposit. Every time you bought a token, your wallet opened an account for it and locked about 0.002 SOL inside. Selling doesn't close it. Rent is now being cut, so most of those deposits are bigger than they need to be.

Will it touch my tokens?

Withdrawing excess leaves the account and its balance exactly as they are. Closing only happens to accounts that are already empty. Burning only happens to tokens you tick yourself, and anything worth a dollar or more can't be ticked.

What does it cost?

The Solana network fee, about 0.000007 SOL per transaction. Transactions that would cost more than they return are skipped.

Why come back in November?

Steps 3, 4 and 5 lower the rate again. Each step frees more of every deposit you keep, so the same accounts pay out again.

Is scanning someone else's wallet safe?

Scanning only reads public data. Only the owner's signature can move anything, and MAGNET only ever sends the deposit back to the owner.

Can I check the code?

The page builds every transaction in your browser. Open the developer console and run magnet.lastAudit after a scan to see each instruction it plans to send.

Connect a wallet

MAGNET asks your wallet for its address, and later for signatures on transactions you review first. Never a message, never a seed phrase.
